Tukuche lies at about 2,590 m in the wide, windy Kali Gandaki valley between Jomsom and Larjung. For centuries it was a centre of the salt trade between Tibet and India, controlled by Thakali merchants whose grand houses and courtyards still line the stone streets.
Quick answer: Tukuche is on the lower Mustang section of the Annapurna Circuit and on the road to Jomsom. Taste local apple products and look up at Dhaulagiri, which towers above the village.
