Spring treks in Nepal
Spring (March–May) is the second great trekking season in Nepal. Days are longer and warmer, and from March to April the hillsides between about 2,000 and 3,500 m turn red, pink and white as rhododendron forests, Nepal's national flower, come into bloom. It's also the Everest climbing season, when base camp is at its liveliest.
Classic spring treks include Ghorepani Poon Hill, Mardi Himal, Annapurna Base Camp, Langtang, Gokyo and Kanchenjunga. Views are usually clearest in the mornings, with more haze and some afternoon cloud as the monsoon approaches. See our best time to trek guide.
