Rachen Gompa is a Buddhist nunnery in the upper Tsum Valley, not far from Chhekampar. A community of nuns lives and studies here, and visitors are welcome to see the prayer hall respectfully.

Quick answer: Visit on the way to or from Mu Gompa. Dress modestly and ask before taking photos. The Manaslu area is restricted: you need a restricted area permit and a licensed guide (solo trekkers can get the permit since 22 March 2026).
