Tal, meaning "lake", sits at about 1,700 m on a flat, sandy valley floor where the Marsyangdi once formed a lake. It is the first village in Manang district on the Annapurna Circuit, with a tall waterfall above the lodges.
Quick answer: Tal is a day's walk from Jagat or a jeep ride from Besisahar. Many trekkers stop for lunch or a night.
