At the northern end of the Lumbini development zone stands the World Peace Pagoda, a gleaming white stupa built by the Japanese Buddhist order Nipponzan Myohoji. A golden statue of the Buddha faces visitors, and the surrounding wetlands are home to sarus cranes.

Quick answer: Visit by bicycle or rickshaw from the Sacred Garden, ideally in the late afternoon.
