The white World Peace Pagoda (Shanti Stupa) stands on a ridge above the southern shore of Phewa Lake. Built by Japanese Buddhist monks of the Nipponzan-Myohoji order as one of a series of peace pagodas around the world, it offers one of the best views in Pokhara: the lake and city below, and the Annapurna range beyond.

Quick answer: Reach the World Peace Pagoda by boat across Phewa Lake and a 45–60 minute hike, or by road. Go for sunset or early morning. Dress modestly and keep quiet near the stupa.
