Lhonak is a high grazing settlement at about 4,780 m on a wide plain beside the Kanchenjunga Glacier. It is the last overnight stop before Pangpema, the Kanchenjunga North Base Camp.
Quick answer: Lodges are very simple. Walk to Pangpema and back as a day trip from Lhonak. Kanchenjunga is a restricted area; trek with a licensed guide.
