Kongma La, at about 5,535 m, is the highest of the Three Passes. It links Chukhung in the Imja valley with Lobuche across the Khumbu Glacier. The summit has frozen lakes and wide views of the Khumbu peaks.
Quick answer: Crossing takes a long day (8–10 hours). The descent and glacier crossing to Lobuche are tiring; go with a guide and start before dawn.
