Kathesimbhu is a small, white stupa in a courtyard south of Thamel, on the way to Asan. It is said to be modelled on Swayambhunath, and tradition says those unable to climb Swayambhu could make their offerings here instead.

Quick answer: Walk around the stupa clockwise, spinning prayer wheels, and look for small shrines and carvings around the courtyard.
