The Kali Gandaki rises near the Tibetan border and flows south through Mustang, passing between Dhaulagiri (8,167 m) and Annapurna I (8,091 m), less than 40 km apart. Measured from the peaks to the river, the valley is often described as one of the deepest gorges in the world.
Quick answer: See it on the road or trail between Tatopani, Ghasa and Lete, or on a flight to Jomsom. The river is sacred: shaligram fossils from its bed are worshipped as Vishnu.
