North of Gokyo village, the trail follows the Ngozumpa Glacier to the fifth lake, Ngozumpa Tsho, at about 4,990 m, directly beneath Cho Oyu. A short climb to Scoundrel's Viewpoint reveals Everest and the glacier sweeping south.

Quick answer: Allow a full day return from Gokyo. Few trekkers go this far, so it is wonderfully quiet.
