Namrung is a village at about 2,630 m on the Manaslu Circuit. Above here, the culture of the upper Budhi Gandaki becomes Tibetan Buddhist, with mani walls, chortens and monasteries. Views open up to Siringi Himal and Ganesh Himal.

Quick answer: Namrung has a permit checkpoint and good lodges. The Manaslu area is restricted: you need a restricted area permit and a licensed guide (solo trekkers can get the permit since 22 March 2026).
