Khumjung, at about 3,780 m, is the largest village in the Khumbu, a wide bowl of stone houses with green roofs and potato fields beneath the sacred peak of Khumbila. It is home to the Khumjung School, founded by Sir Edmund Hillary in 1961, and its monastery keeps what it says is a yeti scalp.

Quick answer: Khumjung is about a 2-hour hike from Namche Bazaar via the Everest View Hotel, the classic acclimatisation hike on the EBC trek. Visit the monastery and the Hillary school, and enjoy views of Ama Dablam and Everest.
