Dingboche, at about 4,410 m, spreads across the floor of the Imja valley, its potato and barley fields divided by long stone walls that shelter crops from the wind. Most Everest Base Camp trekkers spend two nights here to acclimatise, and the views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse and Island Peak are superb.

Quick answer: Dingboche (about 4,410 m) is a day's walk above Tengboche on the EBC trek. Spend an acclimatisation day hiking up Nangkartshang (about 5,083 m) or to Chhukung. Nights are cold, often well below freezing in autumn.
