Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve, established in 1987, covers high meadows and forests across Baglung, Myagdi and Rukum, west of Dhaulagiri. It is Nepal's only hunting reserve, where licensed, regulated hunting of blue sheep (naur) and some other species is permitted.

Quick answer: Most visitors are trekkers on remote routes between Dhaulagiri and Dolpo, or hunters on licensed expeditions. Facilities are basic; go with an experienced team.
