Daman, at about 2,300 m on the winding Tribhuvan Rajpath south-west of Kathmandu, is known for one of the widest Himalayan panoramas in Nepal. On clear days, the view from its tower stretches along a huge length of the Himalaya, and the surrounding forests of rhododendron and pine are lovely for walks.

Quick answer: Daman (about 2,300 m) is about 3–4 hours by road from Kathmandu on the Rajpath. Stay overnight for sunrise from the view tower. Best views: October–March. Combine with Chitlang or continue towards Chitwan.
