Syabrubesi (also Syabru Besi) is a small town at about 1,460 m on the Bhote Koshi in Rasuwa district. It is the road head for the Langtang Valley, the Tamang Heritage Trail and treks to Gosainkunda.
Quick answer: Syabrubesi is about 7–8 hours by bus or jeep from Kathmandu, on a mountain road through Dhunche. Most trekkers spend a night here before starting. The road can be blocked by landslides in the monsoon.
