Hanuman Dhoka is the old royal palace complex of the Malla and later Shah kings on Kathmandu Durbar Square. It takes its name from the statue of Hanuman, the monkey god, draped in red cloth beside the gate, placed in the 17th century. Inside, Nasal Chowk was the scene of royal coronations.

Quick answer: Entry is included with the Kathmandu Durbar Square ticket. Parts of the palace were damaged in 2015 and have been restored; some areas may be closed for works.
