Barahakshetra lies where the Koshi River emerges from the hills onto the plains in Sunsari. Its temple is dedicated to Varaha, the boar incarnation of Vishnu, and it is one of the most important Hindu pilgrimage sites in eastern Nepal, with a large fair at Kartik Purnima.

Quick answer: Barahakshetra is about an hour from Dharan or Itahari. Combine with Koshi Tappu or Bhedetar.
