Jajarkot Earthquake Kills 153 in Western Nepal

At 11:47 pm on 3 November 2023, an earthquake struck Jajarkot in Karnali Province, western Nepal, as most people slept. It killed 153 people, mostly in Jajarkot and neighbouring Rukum West, injured hundreds and destroyed thousands of traditional stone and mud homes. It was the deadliest earthquake in Nepal since 2015.
