Everest Base Camp and Kilimanjaro are two of the world's great bucket-list hikes, and both take you to over 5,000 m without technical climbing. But they are very different experiences.
Quick answer: Kilimanjaro (5,895 m) reaches a summit in 5–9 days with a tough night climb, so altitude is more of a challenge. Everest Base Camp (5,364 m, or about 5,545 m at Kala Patthar) is a longer 12–14 day trek with more gradual acclimatisation, cosy lodges and views of the world's highest mountains.

Which is harder?
Many people find Kilimanjaro's summit night harder, because of the faster ascent and higher altitude. EBC is longer, with more days of walking, but the gradual pace helps acclimatisation.
Which is more scenic?
EBC offers close views of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam and other giants every day. Kilimanjaro has varied zones, from rainforest to glaciers, and the thrill of standing on a summit.
