Nepal Allows Solo Trekkers in Restricted Areas; Upper Mustang Moves to a Daily Fee
From 22 March 2026, Nepal's Department of Immigration issues restricted area permits to individual trekkers, not just groups of two. A licensed guide and registered agency are still required. Plus the new US$50-a-day Upper Mustang permit.
