## Spring treks in Nepal

**Spring (March–May)** is the second great trekking season in Nepal. Days are longer and warmer, and from March to April the hillsides between about 2,000 and 3,500 m turn red, pink and white as **rhododendron** forests, Nepal's national flower, come into bloom. It's also the Everest climbing season, when base camp is at its liveliest.

Classic spring treks include **Ghorepani Poon Hill**, **Mardi Himal**, **Annapurna Base Camp**, **Langtang**, **Gokyo** and **Kanchenjunga**.
