## Natural hot water springs in Nepal

After days on the trail, few things feel better than a soak in a natural hot spring. In Nepal, hot springs are called **tatopani** ("hot water"). The best known are [Tatopani in Myagdi](/places/tatopani-myagdi), on the road between Beni and Jomsom, the riverside pools at **Jhinu Danda** on the [Annapurna Base Camp trek](/annapurna-base-camp-trek), and **Tatopani** on the [Tamang Heritage Trail](/tamang-heritage-trail-trek) near the Tibetan border.

Most pools are simple concrete tanks fed by the spring, with a small entry fee. Bring swimwear and sandals, and respect local customs on modest dress.
